Topsfield Vocational Academy Crew
We are grateful to still have the Topsfield Vocational Academy students and their teacher Mark join EHSSM’s boat builder Jeff on site throughout the pandemic (as restrictions allowed), completing projects, continuing work on the skiff they built and always willing to lend a hand.
The TVA student repaired flagpole goes up at 28 Main Street- the 1835 Schoolhouse.

We Hosted a Fall Festival in the Shipyard

Apple Sailboats in the Apple Armada
It was wonderful to fill the Shipyard again with kids working on STEAM projects, neighbors, friends, live music, good beer, delicious food and laughter. This was our first major community event since the pandemic, and although we are still in the thick of it all, this was a nice respite.
Russell Orchards kindly donated the apples for the Apple Armada.

SANTA in the SHIPYARD
A few Essex Moms partnered with The Shipbuilding Museum, The Town of Essex and an entire village of Essex volunteers to pull-off Santa and Mrs. Claus arrival by boat and merriment in the Shipyard.

EHSSM’s Wednesday volunteers took on the TRUNNEL SHED, as a fall project.
Major Project Items: repaint exterior repair door display case ◦ new plexi/glass ◦ replace rotted wood ◦ mount in an easy to hang/unhang logical fashion repair/replace missing/rotten clapboards and sheathing new roof ◦ door renovation/replacement ◦ cupola removal ◦ window repair ◦ repair center floor and roof holes
